Condensers

Condensers, also referred by other names like air conditioning cooler or liquefier, serves to cool the coolant heated by the compressor and changing its concentration from gas into liquid. This change of state is called the condensation process where the refrigerant heat is extracted and exchanged with the ambient air.

The condenser is placed at the front of the car and is typically attached to other heat exchangers in the engine like radiator or intercooler.Because of its construction, the following types of condensers are distinguished: serpentine/ tubular/ parallel. Today, the most common is the parallel system, which is characterized by lightweight and compact design while maintaining high performance. These systems are made of aluminum.
